The project sets out to present a design scheme for assuring a sustainable after-use of the limestone quarry, Bjørntvet; transforming an industrial wasteland into an ecological- and social asset in its urban context of Porsgrunn. Through a palimpsest of design interventions the project aims to secure a future for the site – rich both in biodiversity and social programming.
