HeidelbergCement invites researchers, students and citizens to submit biodiversity projects in its quarries around the world.
The aim of this scientific and educational contest is to raise awareness of the organic value of mining sites and share new best practices with the scientific community, NGOs, authorities and our operating units.
Over 110 projects worldwide have been selected to compete in the 4th edition 2018 and win up to 30.000 Euro.
Dear Quarry Life Award participants, With just a couple of months left of the research phase, it’s time to start thinking about your final report - it can be uploaded to the QLA website from 6th July on. The deadline for uploading your documents is 20th September 2018. The QLA team wishes you a productive summer in our quarries.
Every website has to perform maintenance at some point or another. Now it`s time for the QLA websites. Unfortunately, maintenance requires taking our site offline for some time. We scheduled the maintance work for Thursday, 28th from 9.30 to 11.30 am CEST. Thank you for your understanding.
The QLA participants have done a great job so far and are currently busy with carrying out their research! You can support and motivate them by voting for projects you particularly like.
